Me: If I wanted to live in a redneck state, there are many to choose from. I wasn’t obsessed with Caroline Kennedy being the next senator from New York, but I prefer her vibe and her story to this upstate political toadie.

Charles Schumer: In Wall Street’s pocket, loves Atlantic Yards
Gov. Paterson: Hey, an African-American governor from Harlem. He’ll be hip. Not!
Sheldon Silver: I wish he’d gotten that gig on the Sopranos. Total backroom dealer mafioso type.
Mayor Bloomberg: Money uber alles! A tiny shrimp of a man who craves a feudal social order.
Now Kirsten Gillibrand: A gun toting upstate redneck who will lick whatever boot is necessary to get ahead.
