“This is a very clear illustration of why there is a fundamental lack of trust from progressives for Hillary Clinton,” said Tobita Chow, chair of the People’s Lobby in Chicago, which endorsed Sanders in the primary election.
“The progressive movement needs to make a call to Secretary Clinton to clarify where she stands really on these issues and that’s got to involve very clear renunciations of the positions that are revealed in these transcripts,” Chow said.
This is how the game is played in the Democratic Party. She’s with you in public and her cause is your cause and then she hits the campaign trail asking for money from leading Republican donors, or she’s in office and oops she changed her mind, or ooops the Republicans made her sign that awful bill.
She’s already said where she stands and if progressive people can’t smell a bullshit artist when they hear one, well then turn in your progressive card and just go get a mainstream Democratic membership card so you can rationalize how she’s gonna screw you over in the same way Obama did.
