From CNBC here:
“When Hillary Clinton says we are ‘stronger together,’ what she means is we are stronger if we are all subject to the state,” Ryan said. “What she means is we are stronger if we give up our ties of responsibility to one another and hand all of that over to government.”
This is a quote from Paul Ryan, who is a special kind of shitbird. But let us dissect this statement for a moment.
Hillary Clinton doesn’t believe we are stronger together, she believes in all her smart centrist friends controlling the rest of us. But Ryan says she wants us all subject to the state, which is kind of insane because Clinton was just caught talking about how she didn’t really want to vote for Obama’s Wall St reform and she’s opposed to universal healthcare. Ryan says Clinton wants us to give up our ties of responsibility to one another, and I can sense in almost no areas of American life where Americans feel responsible towards anyone except themselves. And if you say Obamacare is a place where the government (and Americans) feel responsible to one another it’s very easy to say Obamacare is not that at all, it’s a handout to pharmaceutical and insurance companies. We have two very powerful people who don’t really stand for anything and spout nonsense at each other.
So it’s all just a bunch of nonsensical horseshit and meanwhile there are people who need help.
