From CNBC here:
“It clearly is something that requires them to take additional investigatory steps. It’s not something that is sort of self-contained and can be just looked at and put to the side. So I think it’s extremely serious,” Rivkin said in an interview with CNBC’s “Closing Bell.”
He believes there are only two possibilities — that the new information shows that someone lied during the investigation, or that highly classified emails were compromised in ways that bring into question the FBI’s decision not to recommend charges against Clinton.
So either someone on Team Clinton lied when they were interviewed or classified information was mishandled. I don’t see what is so dramatic about the whole thing.
Folks are so tribal in their political posturing that they forget there are laws about perjuring oneself and there are laws about classified information.
Laws that Hillary Clinton was more than happy to enforce when Edward Snowden released classified information. Hillary Clinton supporters are not doing anybody any favors by saying that it’s fine for her not be subject to the same laws as everybody else.
