From CNBC here:
Joining the group was not meant to be an endorsement of the President or his agenda but unfortunately it has been misinterpreted to be exactly that.
The implicit assumption that Uber (or I) was somehow endorsing the Administration’s agenda has created a perception-reality gap between who people think we are, and who we actually are.
I think the reality gap is that Kalanick was not liked at all before this immigration ban and Uber’s response to it and when he left himself open to look anti-immigrant and a strike breaker people pounce on him hard.
And that’s a really good thing cuz how else are you going to keep scumbags in line?
Make no mistake this dude Kalanick is a fucking scumbag.
