An anti-de Blasio banner was flown by a plane above New York City on Friday, bearing the message “De Blasio, our backs have turned to you.” Former police officer John Cardillo said on Friday that the banner, which references some NYPD officers and union leaders who turned their backs to the mayor after two officers were fatally shot in Brooklyn last week, was paid for by retired and current officers.
At least the cops are consistent and escalate their conflicts with everybody.
With the Mayor.
With the black men out on the streets selling loose cigarettes.
I think those cops who are so unhappy working for the Mayor and for anybody else who questions their behavior and wants them not to strangle black men for selling loose cigarettes should quit.
